Pics Jul 21, 2010 These cameras take absolutely the BEST outside pics. Whether it's wildlife or security, it's great.

wal Jul 14, 2010 This review does not apply to this product directly, but MOULTRIE in general. I purchased a MOULTRIE game camera that was non-operational out of the box. I contacted MOUTRIE after a 50 minute wait time. They sent a RA to return the camera. Instead of replacing the camera they insisted on reparing it even though it was just purchased and never used. The quoted repair time was 3-4 weeks. I did receive an email stating it was repaired and in shipping. That was 8 days ago. I have tried to contact MOULTRIE by email several times to find out why it has not shipped. There was no reply to the emails. I tried by phone 4 or 5 times, but everytime there was a 45-60 minute wait time. Either they do not have the personnel to handle their product or there product have a very poor reliability. Either way, the customer suffers. Sorry I even bought the thing!!!!
Great Camera Jul 14, 2010 I have owned many Game cameras and for the money you cant beat this one! I have two and they take excellent quality pics and video and have a very fast reaction time. I generally get around 2 months on one set of batteries . Which comes out to about 1500-2000 still pics. For the price you just cant beat it!
Scouting Bow Hunter Jul 03, 2010 This camera doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it is my old faithful camera. This is the only camera I haven't had to send back to the manufacturer. I have low end cameras like this and high end cameras and this camera is probably my most dependable. I left this camera out from July - January through a Wisconsin winter and it held up nicely. The trigger speed is a little delayed and it's a little bulky but it gets the job done. I gave it 3 stars because its about as basic as a camera gets but it is dependable and very low maintenance. I've had more trouble with my cuddeback and I paid 4 times as much.
Good value, though picture quality is just ok Jul 02, 2010 Someone in my office had been anonymously leaving insulting caricatures of me on my desk, so I decided to purchase game camera to bust them. I went with this model because it was one of the cheapest available. Unfortunately, I never caught them, but that wasn't the fault of the camera, it's because the culprit wised up and ceased committing the crime once I put this camera in place (I'm guessing they saw it). I don't feel too bad, as I plan to use this for other uses around the house (such as to bust my dog if she gets on the couch while I'm at work, or to see what kind of creature is eating the grapefruit that fall out of the tree in my back yard).
The picture quality and overall fit and finish of this camera is just ok. It's not great, but it will suffice for telling you what's going on in a particular area, with good enough image quality to tell what is in the area (but the image quality is pretty grainy, it's just good enough to identify who/what is in the image. It does not do well if the object is moving quickly). The camera body is made of cheap plastic, and the snaps as well as the battery compartment lid feel a bit flimsy - be careful not to break them. The user interface is ok, it didn't take me too long to figure it out and I'm a retard when it comes to these things.
This does not include a USB cable, and note the USB connector is of the "B" type (what is commonly found on external harddrives, as opposed to the little USB cables that usually come with digital cameras). So keep that in mind if you were planning to use a USB cable from a digital camera or other device, it might not be the correct type.
Even though the image quality and product fit & finish are just "ok", I upgrade my rating from 3 stars (which would be an "ok" or "adequate" rating) to 4 stars because this was just about the cheapest (not the cheapest) game camera available on amazon. You get what you pay for, and at this price point I didn't expect much. If you need high quality images, I'd recommend paying more for a higher end game camera. But if you just want to get the cheapest camera to see what goes on in a certain area and don't care about picture quality, this should do the job.
